AT&T Microelectronics was the semiconductor division of AT&T Corporation, based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA until it was spun off with Bell Labs and other assets to form Lucent Technologies in 1996. The semiconductor division was again split off to form Agere Systems Inc., in 2002. Agere then merged into LSI Corporation in 2007. AT&T Micro primarily sold custom telephone and communications devices to AT&T and later sold DSPs, FPGAs, SRAMs, solid state relays, R/W chips, and other products to the open market.
