Gary Heyes - President & Chief Executive Officer
Gary Heyes brings a proven ability to infuse rapid corporate growth and operational efficiency to USBid. Mr. Heyes leads the formulation and implementation of USBid's corporate strategy, develops strategic alliances, secures capital investments, and generates awareness for USBid among industry analysts and potential partners.
Gary's extensive background includes more than 18 years of progressive technical, marketing, sales, operations and executive management experience in the semiconductor and DC power industries. Prior to USBid, Heyes served as President and CEO of American Silicon Products, a $25 million silicon wafer reclaimer with operations in the United States and Europe, as well as a joint venture in Singapore. During his tenure, Heyes restructured the company, with a subsequent 40 percent reduction in operating costs.
Mr. Heyes' previous experience includes heading the $135 million Stationary Power Business Unit of Yuasa Exide, where he increased revenues 36 percent. Mr. Heyes also served as ASIC semiconductor business unit manager at AT&T Microelectronics (now Lucent Technologies), where he grew the company's ASIC business from $10 million to $100 million in less than four years. Heyes began his career with VTC Inc., where he held positions in manufacturing, design engineering and marketing management.
Mr. Heyes holds an MBA from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minn., and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Jerome Pepin - Vice President, e-Commerce & Chief Technical Officer
The visionary who initially formed USBid and crystallized its corporate focus, Jerome Pepin brings 18 years of electronics industry experience to the company. As Chief Technology Officer for USBid, Jerome sets the company's technology direction and oversees its technical staff.
Mr. Pepin has a solid track record for developing software tools that provide companies with solutions to inventory problems. Prior to starting USBid in 1998, Pepin co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Performance Software Solutions Inc. (PSSI), a software development and consulting company founded in 1994. Prior to PSSI, Pepin served in software development, sales and marketing, and senior management positions at Consilium, Inc. (now Applied Materials), and at Applied Data Research (now Computer Associates). These positions involved strategic selling to major electronics manufacturers, including Martin Marietta, Sony, Texas Instruments, IBM, and Honeywell.
Mr. Pepin received an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass., and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
